The quality management of the media centres in Rhineland-Palatinate
Supporting schools in implementing their quality programs and media concepts
Didactic media improve the handling of heterogeneity in the implementation of educational standards. Through training, colleagues are introduced to the didactic diversity of modern media. These media expand the possibilities of student-oriented learning and offer teachers a variety of teaching aids.
Media centres help local authorities to fulfil their task of providing their schools with teaching materials and advising them
This aspect is becoming increasingly important. The savings for the local authorities usually far exceed the costs incurred by the media center. To date, more than 60,000 educational DVDs have found their way into schools in Rhineland-Palatinate. This successful concept, which is now also of interest to other federal states, will be expanded further. We are also examining the development of electronic distribution. The first licenses with online rights have already been acquired.
Conducted jointly with the Rhineland-Palatinate State Pedagogical Institute Provision of online media (Media library in the RLP school campus) for all schools, teachers and students. The online offering for the schools in our area of responsibility is constantly being expanded by us acquiring the corresponding online licenses.
Media centers represent a largely comprehensive system of supervision and pedagogical support in the country's education system.
We will strengthen the system by exchanging skills with each other and cooperating with partners. This also includes the support and professional guidance of new colleagues and the coordinators of education in the digital world, so that the continuity and quality in the system is maintained or improved. To implement these key points, direct contact with the Ministry of Education, Women and Youth, the municipal associations, the State Pedagogical Institute, the ADD, the pedagogical service institutions, the parents' and teachers' associations and other partners is particularly important.
The media centers are educational contact points in the region. As competent local partners, they provide schools with assistance in meeting the demands that our education system places on all of us.
